SARAH BLASKO
Regular price
$80.00 AUD
DESCRIPTION:
Wind back the clock to the early 2000s with the 20th anniversary edition of The Overture & The Underscore, the debut album that introduced Sarah Blasko as one of Australia’s most captivating voices. Pressed on 180gsm blue coloured vinyl, this deluxe 2LP celebrates two decades of an album that reshaped the local indie landscape.
Originally released in 2004, The Overture & The Underscore earned four ARIA Award nominations, achieved Gold certification, and placed Blasko firmly on the map as a songwriter of rare cinematic depth. Tracks such as “Don’t U Eva,” “Beautiful Secrets,” and “Always Worth It” revealed her knack for weaving haunting lyricism with lush arrangements, while songs from the record went on to feature in Six Feet Under, One Tree Hill, and Little Fish.
Sarah Blasko has since become one of Australia’s most acclaimed singer-songwriters, releasing multiple ARIA-winning and platinum-selling records, touring internationally, and even composing for stage and screen. This anniversary edition not only honours the start of that journey but arrives alongside Blasko’s Double Feature national tour, celebrating both The Overture & The Underscore and its successor What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have.
